DKDP box is a laser modulation component based on DKDP crystal electro-optic effect,the product can be divided into horizontal electro-optic effect series and longitudinal electro-optic effect series for fast shutdown switch.Typical applications include Q-switching of laser cavities,which allow the laser cavity to be emptied to inject light or couple it out of a regenerative amplifier.DKDP box is usually used for 400~1100nm Q-switched applications.Most lamp-pumped Nd:YAG lasers,ruby lasers,and low repetition rate DPSS lasers on the market use DKDP Q-switched switches using DKDP boxes。
